Our preparatory school
Please allow me to welcome you to the Fasiledes preparatory school. Whether you are a current member of our community, a prospective student, parent, alumnus, or a visitor, I look forward to your visit, either online or on campus.
Fasiledes preparatory school is a global community of learners dedicated to serving students from early 11 to Grade 12. The High School is characterized by our “High Challenge – High Support” ethos, where we attempt to ensure that all students are offered an appropriate level of challenge in order to enable them to reach their potential. We strive to provide a learning environment where students can experience joy and vigor each and every day at school.
All members of our community follow the “Fasiledes preparatory school Way”, taking care of themselves, of others, and of this place. We foster the development of the attributes the Fasiledes preparatory school Learner Profile, modeled on the International Baccalaureate Learner Profile, encouraging parents, teachers, and students alike to be:
Fasiledes preparatory school students participate in a demanding and internationally recognized curriculum, culminating in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in grades 11 and 12 and/or an Fasiledes preparatory school. Students partake in a vast array of extra-curricular activities, from sports, drama, and music to Model United Nations and community service programs. Students travel internationally to participate in school events such as choir, sports, Mathematics, drama, Art, and World Languages trips. Within Ethiopia, we take students beyond the walls of the classroom to engage them in service and learning opportunities in our Week Without Walls program.
Our preparatory school students are engaged, energetic, and enthusiastic, and I am thrilled to work alongside them as they thrive at our school. Please feel free to peruse our website for more information about our program, or even better, to stop by for a visit. You are more than welcome at Fasiledes preparatory school.
Yours in education,
Preparatory School Director
Much of what we do around student discipline is packaged as part of the Fasiledes preparatory school Way. Students are taught to take care of themselves, this place, and others and we encourage them to do so by giving them positive recognition in the form of Mini-Alerts. Most the time we don’t have serious behavioral issues at the school but occasionally it can happen. If your child does not meet our behavioral expectations either the Elementary Assistant Principal or the Guidance Counselor will contact you and ask you to schedule a meeting. We expect all students to respect all the adults working on the campus and we ask you to support our efforts by modeling similar behavior when you are on campus.
